I hope portuguese-flashcard could add BR-PT accent[Go Back]from wayne329 30.10.2009 (06:50) I just found the sound are all in the PT-PT accent. As far as I know the two are quite different from each other. And I am learning BR-PT now. So just hope the website could be more complete. Thanks.
Anyway, a great job really, I like these website very very much.
from admin 30.10.2009 (09:49) The sound recordings are made by Brazilians. Not sure why you think its European PT.
from jmci29 12.03.2010 (23:31) I'm going to have to back the admin up on this one. I lived in Brazil for two years and use this website to aide in maintaining my language skills. The accent on this website is most definitely Brazilian. Even further, within Brazil are a number of regional accents ... the accent on this website is a very neutral accent that will serve the speaker well anywhere in the country. I have yet to find anything incorrect on this website ... anybody using it can trust the information they are learning 100%. Great Job!
from lsloan0000 01.04.2010 (14:10) I thought this might have the European accent, too. For example, I didn't expect some "D" words to sound like the English "D". On this site "devagar" sounds like it begins with the English "D" sound rather than the "J" sound that I've come to expect. So I assumed it was a European pronunciation.
Perhaps I'm wrong and I just don't know how "D" words are supposed to sound.
from cmc123 16.06.2010 (15:20) I live in Portugal, and this is definitely not a Portuguese accent. I'd quite like to have both choices.
from Pinkshrimp 03.08.2010 (23:00) I am learning EU-PR and I would like both pronunciations too.
from mkmh 29.08.2010 (19:44) Hi! Me too, I am learning EU-PR, it would be nice to have the words in that accent. | | [Go Back]
